The 13th Annual Meeting of the European Coin Find Network (ECFN) and Nomisma.org is an event that brings together scholars in Numismatics and related disciplines, university academics, curators of public and private coin collections, and IT specialists involved in the development of digital tools and infrastructures for the management of numismatic records. Participants come from leading universities, research institutions and museums from across Europe and the wider international research community and are actively engaged in innovative projects in the field of Digital Numismatics, a domain undergoing rapid and constant development.
The meeting will be held at the University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’, from 15 to 18 September 2026, providing a forum for the presentation of ongoing research, the discussion of methodological and technological advances, and the strengthening of international cooperation in the study, documentation and digital dissemination of coin finds and numismatic data.

The European Coin Find Network (ECFN) is a cooperative network of institutions involved in the research, recording and publication of coin finds from archaeological contexts across Europe. Its primary aim is to foster dialogue, methodological exchange and long-term collaboration between national and regional projects. The network is coordinated by the Römisch-Germanische Kommission (RGK) of the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut (DAI).

Nomisma.org is a collaborative international initiative that provides stable digital representations of numismatic concepts according to the principles of Linked Open Data. These representations take the form of persistent HTTP URIs, offering structured and reusable information about mints, authorities, materials, denominations, and other numismatic entities, while enabling semantic links to external datasets and digital resources. Nomisma.org has become a key infrastructure for interoperability and data reuse in digital numismatic research.
