University of Bari Aldo Moro
The conference is hosted by the University of Bari Aldo Moro, one of the main public universities in southern Italy. Founded in 1925, the University has played a central role in the cultural and scientific development of the Apulia region and of southern Italy.
The historic headquarters of the University is the Palazzo Ateneo, located in the city centre of Bari. Built in the early 20th century, it represents the institutional and symbolic heart of the University.
Santa Teresa dei Maschi Complex (Conference Venue)
The conference will take place at the Santa Teresa dei Maschi complex, located in Bari’s historic centre, a short distance from the Palazzo Ateneo. Housed in a former convent, the complex has been restored and adapted for academic and cultural activities and today hosts teaching, research, and conference facilities.
The Santa Teresa dei Maschi complex of the University of Bari hosts teaching and research facilities related to archaeology, classrooms for specialized courses and laboratories, and spaces for seminars and conferences.
Department of Humanities Research and Innovation (DIRIUM)
The scientific organisation of the conference is coordinated by the Department of Humanities Research and Innovation (DIRIUM) of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. The Department brings together research in archaeology, history, philology, philosophy, art history, and cultural heritage studies, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches and digital innovation.
DIRIUM is actively involved in national and international research projects and promotes advanced studies on the ancient world, material culture, and long-term historical processes in the Mediterranean area.
